Ecolosophy is the way that Mizse – Magyarvíz Ltd. uses knowledge and technology for the benefit of the present and a sustainable future.

Our main asset, water from our mineral springs, has flowed from the interior of the earth for more than 6000 years. This is why we are united by a close link with nature and why we seek to preserve it from the perspective of sustainability.
ECOGREEN: TOGETHER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
San Benedetto, our parent company, in 2011, Magyarvíz in 2020 decided to invest in a major programme, the Ecogreen Project, designed to protect the environment.
We can now measure our commitment in a concrete way, from greater efficiency in production processes to the reduction of plastic used, from the use of RE-PET on Mizse 1 liter Ecogreen bottle. We feel proud of these actions, and are sure they add value to our company. Also, for the whole Ecogreen line, we compensate for emissions by financing greenhouse gas reduction projects.

Our self-developed natural mineral water products - Mizse, Primavera, Zafír - 1 liter, 1.5 liters and 2.0 liters are in cuboid shaped bottles. We kept the environment in mind, when we designed our bottles.

Thanks to our procurement of sustainable raw materials, and our optimization of the manufacturing and distribution processes of 1L Mizse Ecogreen still water, we reduced our carbon emissions by 5% in 2021, compared to 2020.

PET BOTTLE CAN BE EASILY CRUSHED WITHOUT CAP
• Without crush, PET bottle occupies double-triple place. Bottle cap should be placed into the same trash as the bottle.
• With cap, PET can be crushed only with hidraulics machine. This is the main reason of it’s widespread usage as raw material.
ONLY CLEAR AND EMPTY PET CAN BE CRUSHED AND RECYCLED
• Polluted bottle recycle is costly, the recycling process's water demand is higher.

• Pressed manually two times, crushed with legs tree times as much PET fits in the bin.
• Without compression 900 kg, with compression, 3000 kg PET fits into a lorry truck.

RECYCLED PET IS NOT GARBAGE, BUT A RECYCLE-ABLE STUFF
• In Hungary, 60,000 tons of PET packaging are sold annually. The total weight of Titanic was 53,000 tons.
• The annual PET emissions are equivalent to the weight of 217 Airbus A380, the current largest passenger aircraft.
• Currently, selective collection of plastic is around 30% in Hungary, approx. 18,000 tonnes per year. 70% gets on landfill or in the nature (no exact figure for this, estimated value). The EU target is 55% by 2030. In the Scandinavian countries this ratio is over 80%!
